How to write a pharmacy CV that stands out

Your CV is often the first impression you make on a potential employer. In pharmacy, where roles range from clinical practice to regulatory affairs to health tech, a one-size-fits-all CV rarely works.

Start with a strong professional summary

Two to three sentences that capture who you are, what you bring, and what you're looking for. Lead with your most relevant qualification or achievement — not your graduation year.

Quantify your impact

Numbers tell a story that words can't. "Managed inventory for 200+ medications across 3 pharmacy outlets" is stronger than "Responsible for inventory management." Think: patients served, revenue impacted, error rates reduced.

Tailor for the role

Every application should get a slightly different CV. Read the job description carefully and mirror the language they use. If they mention "pharmacovigilance experience," use that exact phrase.
