The STAR method for pharmacy interviews
Behavioural questions — "Tell me about a time when..." — are a staple of pharmacy interviews. The STAR method gives you a simple structure so your answers stay focused and memorable.
Situation and Task
Set the scene in one or two sentences: where you were, what the challenge was. Resist the urge to over-explain the background — interviewers want to get to the action quickly.
Action
This is the part to spend the most time on. What did you specifically do? Use "I," not "we" — the interviewer is assessing you, not your team.
Result
Close with the outcome, ideally with a number attached. If you learned something that changed how you work afterward, say that too — it shows growth, not just competence.
